Muchos Milagros

Helloooo everybody!

This week was pretty awesome! We did a great job of getting out of the office and into our area, and we were able to see some miracles there! We met a lot of new people and have a few new investigators, so we´re really excited about that!

Something happened the other day that was awesome but then not so awesome! We had a little bit of extra time, so we decided to knock on doors for a bit. The first house we came to turned out to be a super positive guy! His names is Eric, and he seems around twenty-five to thirty years old. He´s really smart, and he was super interested. He has a friend who´s a member and had been to the church before to play sports, but has never been on a Sunday. We taught him The Restoration, and he was receptive and understood just about everything! The Spirit was way strong. He committed to read and pray about the Book of Mormon. Now here´s the not so awesome part...when we asked him when we could come back, he said he wasn´t know because he is probably going to work in ESQUINTLA. Just so you all know, that´s like super duper far away and he´d be living there while he works. We´re not really sure if he´s going to continue working up there, but he´ll tell us this week. We could pass the reference to the missionaries there, but he may not have time to continue receiving the lessons there since he´ll be working a lot. But we´ll see what happens! God has a plan for him.

Another miracle! We were in church yesterday when our bishop randomly told us that Brother Salgado, an inactive member, has a brother who recently began living with him. He said that he is living with a woman he´s not married to, but that he´s willing to get married with her and prepare to be baptized. WOW! So obviously we went to visit him that day, and he´s super smart and nice! He answered all of our questions almost perfectly. He wanted to be baptized a long time ago, but he couldn´t for a few reasons. But now he should be able to! He said he´s going to talk with his wife to see if they get married or separated, and then we´ll be able to set a firm baptismal date with him. We´re so excited!

So those are the highlights of this week! It was a great one!

I love you all!

-Elder Thomas
